CAROLYN’S COMPOSITIONS
IN HONOR OF
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH:
MALIGNANT FEAR
Tamara D., Guest Writer*
Stomach dropped to the floor
Breast smashed like a pancake
Too late to run for the door
Front Image Side Image
Deep breathing to the count of four
Something is Not right
They need to take more
Off to Ultrasound Biopsy
To take a Breast tour
Shaking Clammy Hands
Sweat coming out every pore
Can’t hear what they are saying
Concentration is a chore
Breast tissue Gone Wrong
Living Stage Four
On wobbly legs
I stagger to the door
Mind grayed in a fog
Unhinged from my core
*Tamara D. is a newcomer to the Beanery Writers Group. I’m posting her work on CAROLYN’S COMPOSITIONS because the BEANERY ONLINE LITERARY MAGAZINE is being revamped and isn’t up and running yet after a period of hiatus.
NOTE: Photographs were taken along the Lincoln Highway (Rt. 30) in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
Thank you for visiting CAROLYN’S COMPOSITIONS. I invite you to enjoy the writings on the BEANERY ONLINE LITERARY MAGAZINE.
Please help fight breast (and all other) cancer.
